Evaporation, scrubbing & stripping
GaLiCos®
Wastewater streams can be concentrated in a GaLiCos® module at low cost using waste heat from either ventilation air or outside air. In this process, the airflow is almost saturated with vapor of the liquid due to the large contact area between thousands of elongated bubbles and the film-shaped liquid flow. The evaporation capacity depends on the temperature and relative humidity of the applied airflow. The airflow saturated with moisture can usually be discharged directly into the atmosphere. If the disposed airflow contains hazardous substances (such as vapours of hydrocarbons) additional measures are needed. Due to the rapid and intensive exchange between gas and liquid, the technology is also applied for stripping (NH3, H2S, hydrocarbons, fatty acids, etc) and scrubbing gasses.
Crescendo®
Crescendo® is a further development, based on the GaLiCos® technology.
Crescendo® modules are made entirely from recyclable plastic. The design considers the environmental aspects at the end of the economic/technical life span.
Crescendo®, its own CirTec technology, has been nominated for the Water Innovation and Stimulation Award (WIS award).
